Aims
The immediate aim of INCCC is to advance and promote interdisciplinary research and development focused involving counter-current separation methodology, also known as liquid-liquid and counter-current chromatography. The ultimate aim is to advance the INCCC to a level at which it can be incorporated into the International Society for Counter-current Chromatography (ISCCC). Objectives
In order to pursue the overall aim of advancing interdisciplinary counter-current research, several specific objectives will be pursued by the Network: To improve communications among scientists working with CCC and related technologies. To organize scientific meetings on CCC and related technologies ("CCC20xx"), and to coordinate such meetings with related disciplines such as biomedical research conferences. To enhance the status of the subject through association with appropriate international organizations. To improve the teaching and practice of CCC worldwide. To ensure timely, uniform publication of original CCC work and proceedings of the International Conferences on CCC ("CCC20xx"). To preserve the history of CCC. To standardize CCC nomenclature.
In order to support the achievement of the above objectives, a variety of approaches will be utilized. The following are illustrative: Recruit qualified individuals ("members") who will enrich the Network and further its aim; Develop and maintain an Internet resource (inccc.net) as communication platform; Work with IUPAC on standardized CCC nomenclature; Organize CCC 20xx conferences; Encourage scholarly exchange and educational activities across countries; Form committees of special interest topics, including CCC technology and application To acquire funding to further the aims of the ISCCC; Publish an electronic open-access journal (t.b.d.).
